As a Gold Sponsor of the HETT Leaders Summit, CGI is proud to showcase its ongoing commitment to transforming the UK’s health and care landscape. Through strategic partnerships and technical innovation, CGI is helping the NHS deliver user-centred digital platforms and critical infrastructure that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

  • CGI has just announced a landmark 10-year, £75 million strategic partnership with Hywel Dda University Health Board, the first relationship of its kind in NHS Wales. This collaboration aims to transform healthcare services across Mid and West Wales, helping Hywel Dda become a fully digitally enabled health board.

The initiative focuses on upgrading systems for healthcare professionals, exploring AI integration, and bridging the gap between health and social care teams. Crucially, the program also targets digital inclusion, offering community workshops to ensure older generations can access modern digital health tools.

  • CGI, in partnership with NHS Education for Scotland (NES), is delivering a pioneering new platform designed to be the primary digital entry point for patients across the country. Known as the ‘Digital Front Door,’ this user-centred app will allow citizens to access personalised health and social care information—from mental health support to vaccination records, on any device.

Currently being piloted in NHS Lanarkshire, the platform represents a major step toward inclusive, person-centred care, empowering individuals to manage their own health while easing pressure on frontline services.

  • The NHS Spine is the world’s largest public healthcare platform, supporting over one billion transactions every month. To ensure this critical national infrastructure could meet modern demands, CGI (via BJSS, now part of CGI) was engaged to completely re-architect and rebuild the system.

By utilising open-source technology and agile delivery methods, the new Spine is faster, more resilient, and more cost-effective, saving the NHS over £21m annually in operational costs. This transformation has not only increased reliability but also accelerated the integration of new digital services, such as enabling paramedics to access Summary Care Records securely in the field.
